From the beginning Modern Tranquility was designed with the idea of bringing the outside in. Cantilevered over a wooded cliff, the residence was designed to take advantage of the natural soundscape of the rolling creek below.
While close to metro Springfield, its location lends a private, tucked away feeling. The owners, a busy professional and an active volunteer, desired a home with the modern style of a high-end resort.
Additionally, they wanted a home with fully integrated technology yet high end finishes that would allow both convenience and luxury.
The overarching idea of feeling like home was a vacation from the stresses of work was paramount to the design
With the client’s goals in mind, builder Justin Skiles traveled with the homeowners to Las Vegas and also worked with local suppliers to choose cutting edge products that met their design style.
Andrea Deckard was brought on to the design team to help give that resort-like finishing touch to the home.
The end result is a stunning home that juxtapositions the natural splendor of the Ozarks with the beautiful luxury of the 21st century.
From the moment one enters, there is a feeling of both tranquility and comfort. Cares can be left at the door.
